Cookie Policy
In compliance with Provision no. 229 (available here: http://www.garanteprivacy.it/web/guest/home/docweb/-/docweb-display/docweb/3118884) issued by the Guarantor for the Protection of Personal Data on 8 May 2014, Otium srl provides the following information on cookies, their functions and how to disable them.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that the sites visited by the user send and record on his/her personal computer or any other device, including mobile, to be then re-transmitted to the same sites at the next visit. Cookies are used for various purposes: for example, to remember the user's actions and preferences (such as, for example, login data, chosen language, font size, other display settings, etc.) so that they do not have to be indicated again when the user returns to visit said site or navigates from one page to another; or to perform computer authentication, session monitoring and storage of information regarding the activities of users who access a site and may also contain a unique identification code that allows tracking of the user's navigation within the site itself for statistical or advertising purposes.
There are therefore different types of cookies, which can be differentiated by their characteristics and functions:
Browsing or session cookies
These cookies are not stored permanently on the user's device and are deleted when the browser is closed. Unlike other cookies, session cookies do not have an expiration date, and based on this the browser is able to identify them as such.
Technical cookies
They are used to the extent strictly necessary to provide a service explicitly requested by the user. In other words, these are cookies useful for navigation and to facilitate access and use of the site by the user. Technical cookies are essential, for example, to access your profile or the shopping cart section of an e-commerce site without having to log in to all sessions. They are also present in fundamental operations such as payment by credit card or by other systems.
Analytical cookies
These are used to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users of the site and the pages viewed (for example Google Analytics). Please refer to the relevant policies which may change periodically and which we therefore recommend consulting over time, where more detailed information is available, for example https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/analyticsjs/cookieusage.
Third party cookies
third-party cookies belong to domains other than the one shown in the address bar. These types of cookies typically appear when web pages feature content, such as advertising banners, from external websites that use tracking activities to monitor user preferences in an attempt to serve relevant and personalized ads for each individual.
The cookies present on this site are therefore the following
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google. In particular, Google Analytics uses, on our site, cookies that do not store personal data and that are stored on the user's computer to allow the website manager to analyze how users use the site for statistical purposes only. To prevent Google Analytics from collecting data on your navigation, you can download the Browser Add-on for deactivating Google Analytics: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
_cfduid by Cloudflare
The __cfduid cookie is used to identify individual clients behind a shared IP address and apply security settings on a per-client basis. It does not store any personally identifiable information. This cookie is strictly necessary for Cloudflare's security features and cannot be disabled.
Cookie Security
The types of cookies listed above may remain on the computer or mobile device used by the user for different periods of time, depending on the function they perform. Cookies stored on the computer or mobile device cannot be used to retrieve any data from the hard disk, transmit computer viruses, or for purposes other than those described above.
How to change your cookie settings
Most browsers are configured to accept, control or possibly disable cookies through the settings. However, we remind you that disabling navigation or functional cookies may affect the functioning of the site and/or limit the service we offer.
It is therefore possible to set and manage your cookie preferences at any time, by selecting which cookies to authorize, block or delete, in whole or in part, through your browser settings; here we report the path to follow to manage cookies from the main browsers used:
What does it mean to delete and/or disable cookies?
Deleting Cookies may result in:
- the cached settings would no longer be usable and therefore in case of login you will have to log in again
- the site may be slower as some features would no longer be enabled
- You may need to manually enter some information or preferences each time you visit the site.
For more information on cookies and to manage your preferences on third-party profiling cookies, we invite you to visit https://www.youronlinechoices.com.
Please note:
Our site will store the user's preferences regarding cookies thanks to a specific technical cookie, which the user must accept when loading the website on their browser for the first time.
